I wish instead of the two slimes, Ryoma would’ve given Elia “Tabuchi’s” inert slime core (from chapter 4). We know Ryoma values his slimes, but Tabuchi has a significant sentimental value for Ryoma and could’ve had some very deep meaning for Elia. For Ryoma, it was his first and only ‘friend’ after coming to Sailfall that reminded him of the home he left behind. For Elia, it would’ve shown that even though it was the thing that Ryoma had the deepest connection to, he was able to form other deep connections later on (and somewhat unexpectedly). Still a comfy, if bittersweet, chapter.
